OOTD: Big Comfy Cardigan

As the title suggests, today I am a wearing a very large, and veeerry comfortable cardigan. I got it for cheap at a consignment store and have been happy with my purchase ever since! It's perfect for that chilly weather when you don't feel like trying to hard, you know?

Today was a long day. Tuesdays always are. But today was especially long because not only did I spend my whole morning in class (although we did watch an Australian political comedy in my seminar which was quite amusing - The Hollowmen), but I also had my macroeconomics midterm this afternoon! It was rough, mostly because I felt like I should study but didn't know quite what I should study for. Sooo, after my morning classes and lunch, I took a long nap, studied for an hour, then read Vogue for an hour. Good preparation for my exam, don't you think?

While I was taking my photos my roommate came in and was like "Alison, you know I can take pictures for you, right?" - so sweet! She snapped a few, so here is a non-self timer photo :)

Tah-dah! I am now the proud owner of a pair of rainboots. After some sleuthing yesterday (long story short I was dropping my application off at Zara, don't think that's going to work out...) I discovered that Cusp, an offshoot of Neiman Marcus, carries hunter boots! So this evening after dinner I walked out there and bought the lovely hunter green ones, as well as some fleece wellie socks with gray cable knit on top - very cute! I have to say that I am sooo thankful for the early Christmas present, I really needed a pair!

Oh, random anecdote from my day: when I was walking back from shopping, I hear all these alarms and see campus police all around my dorm. I'm wondering what's going on when one of the police officers yells at me for getting too close to the building and ushers me in the directions where I soon see many of my fellow New Southerners are standing. Turns out we had a fire drill. Awkward. And they made everyone scan in when it was finished! Do you know how long that would take!? Thankfully I was near the front of the line.

After that was done, clearly I had to go watch Glee, so clearly I've done no homework yet. So I must be off, is it odd that I'm hoping it rains tomorrow? :)

  1. As I was reading along to the 'fire drill' part, my first thought was that terrorist warning lol Anyway it's good that everyone's okay.
